Full Term and....

4cm.

My dr. was completely shocked that I went from 0 - 4 in a week.  I wasn't that shocked!  In fact, I knew deep down that I had progressed and tried to prepare myself for him to tell us that at our appt.  After his initial shock, I thought that he would say he was going to send me straight to the hospital but instead he said that I could go to school tomorrow.  I was relieved!  I am so glad that I am going to be able to finish this school year out and say farewell to my class.  Our goal is to make it about a week... well until Tuesday (thats when our next appt. is).  However, if I go for my BPP and NST tomorrow and I am contracting they will probably admit me.  So, in all of this excitement I packed my bags, sanitized bottles and pacifiers, and did some last minute cleaning last night... JUST IN CASE!  I am so excited to meet this little guy and to be able to hold him in my arms.

So like I was wondering last night... when will he come?  In a week?  In a day?  A couple hours?

FULL TERM!

Tomorrow, I will be full term and I can't believe it! This pregnancy went by so fast and so smoothly.  I will be sad when it is over (since we are only planning on having 2) but also really happy to finally be able to hold our son in my arms.  Since Sophie came early (38 weeks) our dr. is also expecting him to be here early too.  What do you think?  When will our little guy get here!!?!?!?!

The (little) MAN's Cave

Our little guys baseball inspired room is now finished!!!!  I'm pretty sure it's Josh's favorite room in the house!  Here is a sneak-peek...

I need to still get pictures of his crib skirt and letters... but I'll post those later!

Sweet Sophie is T.W.O!

Can you tell me how to get? How to get to Sophie's Street!?!  We celebrated our sweet two year old SOPHIE this weekend by throwing her a Sesame Street birthday bash.  It was smaller than last years party with mostly family there but it was a huge hit with our little girl!

Choo- Choo!  Playing with Aiden and her friends is so much fun!

We've been SHOWERED!

Janae, Stephanie, Sarah and my mom threw a family shower for us and it was ABSOLUTELY perfect!  Obviously, it was baseball themed for our sweet little boy!  Everything was so well planned and thought out to make the celebration a huge success!  Here are a some of the party details...
  • The invitations were just like baseball tickets with a starting time at 5:10 just like a real game.
  • Cotton candy, popcorn, and hotdogs were served to continue with the ball park theme.
  •  T-shirts were made with our families names on them and everyone looked so darn cute!
  • The cake/cookies were perfect and sported the CUBBIES logo
We had so much fun and are so thankful for everything that was done to make this so special for us!

Doesn't this make you want to sing... "TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME!"

Wedding Post

A couple weekends ago, we went to Josh's friends wedding at The Castle at Ashley Manor.  The couple was so sweet and thought of everything to make it fun for Sophie and the other kids there.  The kids had a craft station where they could make adorable crowns and glasses.  They also had a special kid-friendly dinner for all of the little ones.  Sophie had so much fun at the wedding and so did we.  Below are some pictures that we took in the photo booth.

Before the wedding, Josh took Sophie to walk around the castle.  During their walk, Sophie looked at Josh and said, " I want to see Jesus" while pointing to one of the statues in the garden area.  We have no idea where she got the idea that the statues were Jesus but she seemed to think they were.

The thank you gifts at the wedding were little treats.  So on our way out we grabbed a cookie for Sophie and she said, "Daddy, I go to a wedding and it gives me a cookie!"

I am pretty sure she thinks weddings are so much fun!

Just call him.... MASTER!

My husband is pretty GREAT and never ceases to amaze me!  He does whatever he puts his mind to and does it really well.  This past year, his school was chosen to roll out the TAP program and he was selected to be a mentor teacher.  He has enjoyed observing and coaching other teachers how to perfect their craft and he has also learned a lot himself about the art of teaching.  Recently, our school district decided that the master teachers at the TAP schools had a lot on their plates and that they would be hiring a second master teacher for each school.  Without hesitation, Josh applied and got the position.  He has such a great support system at his school and his colleagues and principal are really excited about his PROMOTION!  I couldn't be more proud and excited for him in this advancement in his career.

Easter

WARNING!  PICTURE OVERLOAD!

I have always enjoyed Easter,  however, celebrating it with Sophie and sharing the meaning with her made it extra special.  This year, Janae and Andrew hosted Easter at their beautiful house.  Janae planned a great meal and planned fun activities for the kids.  We had a great time together as a family and started new traditions.

Thank you pinterest for the great idea for the cupcakes... they sure were cute and tasty!

Dying Easter Eggs

On Easter morning, Sophie got up and hunted for eggs in her room before we headed off to church.  She slept in our bed that night so it was easy to hide the eggs!  She was so excited to see her bunny filled with goodies and of course finding more eggs was so much fun!

Easter at our house and hunting for eggs in Sophie's room

After our mini egg hunt at home, we went to church with Josh's family at his grandma's nursing home.  Gigi always lights up when she sees her adorable grandkids!
They are so stinkin' cute!

After church we went over to my family's house for breakfast.  Sophie was surprised with another basket full of goodies.  After breakfast/brunch Sophie played with Gramma and Poppi before we all went to take a nap.

After our nap, we joined the rest of our "family" at the Dodge's house.  Sophie loved playing with Killian and eating jello eggs!

We had such a fun filled weekend celebrating and remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made for us and spending time with our family!
