I am so thankful that Janae (Josh's sister) helped us form a vision for the nursery. With the vision in mind, my mom and I have cut, sewed, measured and pressed the curtains and crib skirt for Sophie's room. I couldn't be more appreciative for the quality time I got to spend with my mom. It was so special to be able to learn one of her passions while checking off a couple items off our "To Do List". The room is not even finished and it is already becoming my favorite room in our house because so much love has been poured into making it so special for our little Soph!
Thank you Mom!

Spring Break 2010
This year for spring break, Josh and I, decided to travel to Las Vegas!
We thought it would be so much fun to explore the city and hang out with some family. Josh's aunt and uncle live about 20 minutes from the strip so we were able to stay with them. While we were there we spent a lot of time with these two...
Cohen (2 years old)
Sloane (2 months old)
We absolutely enjoyed spending time with the whole family but hanging out with Cohen was such a treat! Josh and Cohen wrestled daily, we went to the park, built puzzles, played race cars and even dined on plastic foods that Cohen prepared for us. When we weren't playing with Cohen we were either chatting away with Dave and Janelle getting GREAT tips on parenthood and sharing about both of our experiences overseas or snuggling with Sloane. We had such a wonderful time with them and can't wait to see them again!
We figured that we weren't going to see the whole strip during our trip so we picked out a couple of places that we knew we would enjoy. Our first destination was to Mandalay Bay and to visit the Shark Reef Aquarium. While we were there we saw a lot of interesting fish and got to pet these guys...
After that we headed over to the MGM and visited the lions. They had 2 month old lions out for people to see and also in another private room we saw 17 day old lions. They were adorable! The trainers were feeding the 2 month old and leading them around the perimeter of their play area. It was so neat because one of them decided that it wanted to hang out in the area where we were watching and Josh got some fun pictures of them. We loved their beautiful eyes and long eye lashes!
A couple other random things that we did along the strip was hit up M&M world and slip a few quarters into some $.25 machines. I wish I could tell you that we left Vegas as big winners but that didn't happen.
Monday night we saw MYSTERE. We are such BIG fans of Cirque Du Soleil and couldn't pass up the opportunity to see one of their shows while we were there. We loved the humor and watching the people perform their tricks. Their bodies are so amazing and the stunts that they perform are mind blowing.
Right before we drove home we went to the Bellagio and checked out their beautiful garden that many people recommended to us and saw the worlds largest chocolate fountain.
