Boy or Girl? Did you Vote?
Last week, we had our 4 month check up and our doctor said everything is looking good. Our favorite part of the check up was when we got to hear our little ones heart beat. It is so fun to hear it, to be reminded that there actually is a little one growing inside of me, and to know that our baby is growing to be strong and healthy. This little one has been sooooo good to me these last 16 weeks! I haven't had any morning sickness, crazy cravings, or pain. WHoo! Hoo! Now that we are at 17 weeks we have scheduled our next ultrasound to find out what we are going to be having. Stay tuned to find out.... the ultrasound is scheduled for Thursday!

Thanksgiving 2009
Last year, Josh and I sat at a restaurant in Japan with our new friends preparing to share a meal together unlike any other Thanksgiving we had ever experienced. As special as those memories are to us, we are so happy to spend this Thanksgiving surrounded by our family and friends back at home. We are so thankful that we were able to spend time with each of our families and friends and eat some delicious food. Some other things that we are thankful for are...
1. Jesus, HE has been our guide and has blessed us beyond our wildest dreams.
2. The blessing of being married to each other. We love being able share everyday with our best friend.
3. Our families and friends who have been a such a huge support to us.
4. Our jobs. As we prepared to return home we prayed for jobs back in the Mesa Public School District. Our prayers were answered as we now have really great jobs at two wonderful schools in the district.
5. Our church, the bridge and the ministries at the rio vista center. Its so great to be a part of furthering Gods kingdom with such a wonderful church family.

12 Week Check-Up
On Friday, November 21st, Josh and I went to the doctor's office see our baby again for the second time. Below is one of the 7 pictures that was taken that day. Our baby is 63.1 mm (approximately 2.5 inches) from crown to rump and growing quite nicely. We were told prior to this appointment that if we were lucky we might get to be able to see whether our baby is a boy or a girl. The wonderful tech tried many different angles but we weren't able to see anything yet. So, we will continue to wait patiently to find out! Be sure to let us know what you think we will have by voting on our poll on the side of our blog.
As this first trimester is coming to an end, I can honestly say that I have been so blessed to have a really easy pregnancy. The only thing that Josh and I have had to deal with is the fact that I have been completely exhausted. I have had to rely on Josh to get stuff done around the house and be patient with me when I don't want to do anything at all. My wonderful husband has tended to my every need and want and I couldn't be more thankful for the love that he gives to me everyday.

A Great Friend/Photographer and a Wonderful Family
Shortly after we arrived home our adorable nephew, Aiden Roy Pinch, was born. One request of Grammie Sophie was that we get family pictures taken with our newest family member. So the talented Stephanie Barber (Joel's sweet girlfriend) captured some really great pictures of our family. Here are a few of our favorites...

A little Henderson!
We are so excited to announce that we are PREGNANT! In the beginning of June 2010 we will welcome our little Henderson! We had so much fun breaking the news to our parents....
The day after we found out that we were expecting we went to dinner with Josh's parents. We had prepared these special menus to have the waiter deliver to the table and surprise his parents with.
They turned out to be a hit!
The following day we headed to Peoria to spend the weekend with my family for my mom and sister's birthdays. We had a very special birthday surprise for my mom. In the bottom of her gift bag she found a onsie that said, Happy Birthday!
Needless to say, that was a pretty big hit with them too!

Life back in the states...
Josh and I started blogging while we were on our adventure in Japan to keep all of our friends and family updated on what we were up to while we were away. Well, now that we are back we figured that we would start a blog about what we were up to here at home! Here are a few of the things that we have been up to since we have been back... We moved back into our townhome, got teaching jobs back in Mesa, became an Aunt and an Uncle to an adorable little boy, and reunited with Lucy! It was a fun and busy past few months as we were getting readjusted to our lives back in the U.S. But the fun and business has only just begun...
Check back soon to find out what else we've been up too!
Here we are at our first D-backs game/Stellar Kart concert since we got back
